NEWS never shows up as a group on TV but once every three months... since the initial suspension that's been how it is. It's normally they release a single and go on TV a bunch, but disappear for 3-4 months, then come back with another single... etc. This year they only had one single but then they had 24 hr tv (which was more air time) then the few winter shows now. So the actually "group being on tv" pattern is the same... they show up once every three months XD; I feel like it's douche-y to say that though.
I love NEWS and like seeing them in at least groups of 2 more than solo, but I'm happy to see them alone too. Only thing is I have to say that I disagree with the idea of NEWS being primarily a "solo operating group". A lot of people say that though, even in Jpn fandom, and it makes sense when you consider the group was originally marketed to be a kind of rotating Morning Musume thing (until major debut) but I've never understood how NEWS operates more solo than any other young JE group. I guess because both Tegomasu AND Yamapi release stuff separate? But drama, play, solo concert, movie, radio-wise they act the same as all other groups... *shot*
JE used to break up groups a lot and considering the economy they might want to start doing that again one day but I don't think NEWS is in any danger. So agreed, people need to calm down. NEWS came back from suspension when they could have not so I doubt they're going to break up now lol.
